Highlights

Giulia was born by the sea in the unique city of Venice in Italy. She fell in love with skiing at the age of 2 when she first tried the gliding sensation among the beautiful Dolomites around Cortina d’Ampezzo. Since, she never spent a winter without skiing and her passion has never faded.

She raced in Alpine FIS disciplines for many years, then switched to a more natural interpretation of the turns, first on telelmark skis, then with fat skis in powder snow. She moved to Verbier, Switzerland in 2004 where she started a freeride professional career the year after. Her biggest achievement in competition was winning the Verbier Xtreme in 2006 and competing in some other FWT stops. In the meanwhile her passion for big mountains and exploration grew stronger each year and with fabulous friends she traveled and skied in different countries and wild mountains, leaving her tracks in steeper and steeper terrain. Ski-mountaineering has now become her best way to express herself.

Actually she lives in Chamonix, where she works as IFMGA mountain guide and share her passion with clients, as long that she is not too busy skiing powder with friends and keep living her dream”.
